Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister and a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia was a professional who started her career as a professional in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass the record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight by using knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko was given the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi in an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
