Keira Knightley

Knightley was born in London to the family consisting of actor Will Knightley & Sharman Macdonald at six years old, was the first actress to be employed by TV commercials and film. She was in 1999 when she portrayed Sabe for the role of Sabe Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Her breakthrough came in the 2002 sports drama Bend It Like Beckham, in which she portrayed an adolescent footballer. The year 2003 saw Elizabeth Swann, a swashbuckler in the fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean became extremely famous. In 2003, she was a star in the romantic comedy Love Actually and was called promising teen. Knightley received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in the role of Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice (2005). Knightley starred in several more period films like Atonement (2007, a love story), The Duchess, (2008) and Anna Karenina, (2012). In Anna Karenina, she also played a socialite named Georgiana in The Duchess. She forayed into contemporary dramas and acted as an ambitious musician on Begin Again (2013) and a physician for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley was back in historical movies in the role of Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) and earned her an award nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, and starred as the eponymous writer in Colette (2018).
